My First email:
Dear Suddenlink,

You need to add Fox Business Network to your channel line up. Dish Network and DirecTV have already added it to their line up.

Sincerely,
Dustin Sherrill

Response from Suddenlink:

Dear Dustin Sherrill,

Thank you for your inquiry. Suddenlink is committed to providing the best customer service possible.

Thank you for your interest in Fox Business Channel. Unfortunately, the interest in this channel among other customers continues to be quite limited. What’s more, we have not yet received a proposal from Fox News that would allow us to offer this channel to customers who do want it without impacting the cost of service for customers who don’t want it.

We will, however, continue to evaluate customer demand for the channel, as well as alternatives for offering it in a fair and equitable manner to those like you who want it. We appreciate your patience with this process and the time you’ve taken to share your interest.

We hope that we have been able to provide you with the information you requested. If we have not, or if we can be of any additional service to you, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

My rebuttal:
Dear Suddenlink,

I find your excuses to be questionable and weak. How can you say interest is limited for Fox Business Network? All anyone talks about on the news today is the economy. Seems to me that there is a very large interest out there for the type of programming Fox Business Network delivers. Why else would Dish Network and DirecTV add it to their lineups? I can tell you why! It is because of Dave Ramsey; He is the hottest thing since sliced bread. So much so that even Congressmen such as John Culberson can’t help it but twitter about him on Capitol Hill. No interest, indeed?!?

It also irritates me that you say you are awaiting a proposal from Fox that won’t impact the cost of service to your customers that don’t want this channel. Yet I have received rate hikes in the past due to such channels as ESPN. I couldn’t give a flip about ESPN or the many other sports channels provided but my rates went up because of them.

Sincerely,
Dustin Sherrill
